Our Solutions

BOILER LOAD CONTROLLER (EES-BLC)

Reduce boiler short cycling during periods of low heating demand through the use of the EES-BLC system. The system continuously monitors actual building heating load and increases the deadband gap to reduce system cycling and energy usage.

Our Customer’s External Drivers, Objectives and Challenges -

  • Reduce Operational & Maintenance Costs
  • Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions
  • Reduce Energy Costs to Increase the Bottom Line
  • Our Solution -

Hydronic heating boilers cycle ON/OFF to maintain service loop temperature. These boilers operate on HI/LO setpoints with a preset deadband where the boiler remains off. Since all boilers are oversized with excess capacity to handle design day heating needs, these boilers cycle ON/OFF on a regular basis as boiler capacity is greater than actual heating needs. The EES-BLC measures actual system demand for heating and interrupts system cycling if heating demand is low. The system works with hydronic boiler systems of any type and size.

Our Unique Value delivered to our customers by the EES-BLC –
An innovative boiler controls product that reduces boiler cycling, which provides the following benefits:

  • Reduce fuel consumption and energy cost (gas/propane/fuel oil) on boilers by 10-25% on an annual basis
  • Reduce mechanical wear on boilers
  • Provide increased heating system reliability and extended operational life
  • COMBUSTION EXHAUST MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EES-CEM)

Currently industrial ovens and multi-tier drying chambers exhaust flue at a constant rate unless in purge mode. This contributes to wasted natural gas within industrial ovens and catalytic oxidizers as final flue discharge temperatures can range from 300°F - 1000°F. Emergent Energy Solutions has developed a solution to modulate exhaust rates to match product requirements.

Our Customer’s External Drivers, Objectives and Challenges -

  • Increase control over product quality, and improve product consistency
  • Decrease seasonal impacts on product quality
  • Increase oven/system capacity and line rates
  • Reduce energy consumption and energy costs on process equipment (ovens, dryers, combustion chambers)
  • Achieving corporate/organizational sustainability objectives
  • Our Solution –

We have developed a controls package that will continuously measure system operations and manage the “heat/baking chamber” as a complete system.

Our unique value provided by the EES-CEM:

  • Delivers a more consistent product as internal system operations are normalized
  • Quicker bake/drying times which increases system capacity
  • Increased oven BTU Capacity
  • Minimized fluctuations in “heat chamber” temperatures between changeovers
  • Significant reductions in energy consumption (natural gas/propane/electrical).
  • CHEMICAL FREE COOLING TOWER WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM (EES-TWT)

EES delivers a chemical free solution for cooling tower water treatment. The system provides continuous measurement of water quality, blow down management and system alarm notification.

Our Customer’s External Drivers, Objectives and Challenges -

  • Sustainability Initiatives – Reduce water, energy.
  • Reduce Operational Costs – Reduce operational costs associated with infrastructure maintenance
  • Risk Mitigation – Reduce risks associated with managing, storing, and handling hazardous chemicals on site.
  • Poor water treatment services, corroded/fouled cooling towers and chillers
  • Our Solution -

The increasing need for sustainability and water conservation requires new technology to deliver solutions that are innovative and supports the many objectives of a facilities manager. Decrease water use, reduce costs, and most importantly eliminate the introduction of hazardous chemicals to our delicate water ecosystem. EES provides the EES-TWT, which is design to meet the needs of our customer’s facilities team. Our system utilizes the latest bacterial control and scale inhibition systems on the market to manage plantonic (free-flowing), sessile (biofilm) bacteria and hardness precipitation on condenser tubes and the cooling tower basin.

Our Unique Value delivered to our customers by the EES-TWT system includes:

  • The complete elimination of chemical usage within the tower loop. Tower blow-down water can be sent directly to storm water
  • Maintaining chiller fouling factor, which maintains cooling capacity and efficiency throughout the cooling season.
  • Address existing fouled piping and heat exchangers. Instead of annual punching of the tubes, the system can be used to maintain system cleanliness/efficiency.
  • Reduce energy costs from pumps, chillers and process.
  • Qualifies for LEED credits
  • Reduce annual service costs associated with chiller/tower maintenance
  • ELECTRONIC DESCALER (EES-ED)

Proprietary system designed to the help industrial/commercial customers manage water side fouling on heat exchangers from calcium hardness and biological fouling.

    Our Customer’s Challenges –

Calcium hardness scale precipitation and biological growth on heat exchangers, piping, valves and other water contact surfaces.

    Our Solution –

The EES-ED system delivers a solution like no other as it inhibits both Hardness and Biofilm growth in heat exchangers without the use of chemicals. Utilizing a patented process, the system mitigates calcium scaling by promoting calcium ion bonding with the available bicarbonate ions within the water based heat transfer medium.

Our Unique Value delivered to the customer:

  • Reduced maintenance and downtime costs from routine system teardowns and emergency repairs
  • Reduced energy costs as system efficiency is improved or maintained at existing conditions
  • Maintain system capacity throughout the heating/cooling season
  • Improved equipment life of valves/fittings/piping/heat transfer surfaces
  • Mitigate operational risks from the water side of the system
